BEGINNING
Do I feel like an artist?
What was the reason that pushed me to become a painter?
What is my painting all about? And finally why do I paint at all?
Tere are no simple answers to these questions
Being a painter, an artist is definitely more than just a job
It is a way of thinking, the way you feel and most of all – the way of living
It’s a philosophy, religion or love of your life
I have used to seeing the world in colorful pictures since my earliest childhood
I remember green medows, changing skies, blue water at the swimming pool,
colourful balloons from the 1st of May parades
My memories stayed trapped in shades and shapes
Everything loses its usual meaning and becomes an abstract form
Starts to live its own life in the world of imagination
The feelings inside your soul desperately need to be spoken
This is the moment when the art is born...
WORKSHOP
To find the way how to express your feelings
is the most important and usually the most difficult thing to do for an artist
You start with nothing, making your first step into art as a blind child
Then step by step, through the years of work you discover your own technique
that becomes your language of expression
Some of your works are worse, some are better,
a few of them can make you feel satisfied for a while
But if you once got started, than you are not able to stop anymore
You will try again and again to find the right colour, the proper shape
To compose the surface of the painting in this one and only way
You do it for years always hoping for the next successful step
You build your style with every single drawing, sketch or painting,
every single colourful thought...
INSPIRATIONS
There is a very close relation between music and colours
Some people see colours while they are listening to music
Music is a great inspiration for me at work
It causes the feelings that I try to express then through painting
Music is an abstract piece of art, so it is not easy to describe it in simple words or pictures
You need something more-
-a special form of expression, you need to find on your own
And it becomes a challenge...
I find the inspirations all around me
Every time my eyes meet an interesting shape or a wonderful colour
it makes me feel I need to notice it somehow, so it could stay with me longer than just for a while
Time is passing so fast, the world is channging in every second
I just try to keep it for a while longer,
to show the beauty that surrounds us every day
I transpose the elements of this beauty to my paintings and build my own world
Things may sometimes lose their context,
the viewer can see them in the new light, noticing the truth about them
he couldn’t see in ordinary conditions
INFLUENCES
There are many artists that influenced me
with their way of seeing the world,
sensibility and workshop
I grew up with pop art and its father Andy Warhol
He taught me to admire every single thing
no matter how important it seemed to be for the very first sight
I still keep the Campbell’ soup can not to forget it
!
Then I discovered the American expressionists
the colour surfaces painting of Mark Rothko
The minimalistic form of his paintings is for me the answer for the question
how far you have to go searching for your own way to express
??
Someone once said "It would be a crime
to try to describe his paintings in words"
It seems to be the biggest compliment for the painter
The paintings speak for themselves the best...
